Horsemanship Lessons

Horsemanship classes are designed to give a solid foundation to those interested in learning how to ride. Learning how to handle horses from the ground promotes safety, confidence, responsibility and most of all the communication skills required to become a successful rider. The Beginner level is strictly on the ground but Intermediate and Advanced class participants are introduced to riding.

We offer  a nine week program broken down into three levels- Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced that fully prepares a student for learning to ride successfully. Many programs start by putting a beginner straight up on a horse without building a base of trust, responsibility, safety and confidence which translates into establishing a relationship with your mount. Fear is the greatest enemy when learning how to ride and is the biggest reason why many quit before ever giving it a chance. Horsemanship classes are designed to eliminate the fear factor while teaching the skills needed to safely handle horses on the ground making the transition to the saddle much easier.

Horsemanship classes are also ideal for those that have thought about learning to ride but never have because of nervousness around such a large animal. Taking these classes can provide the answer of whether or not a horse hobby is for you.  See below for class schedules and pricing. A Graduation celebration is held after completing all three levels.

Also offered are Riding Lessons, Trail Lessons, Pony Rides and On Site Birthday Parties. See below for more information.
